Classroom Spotlight: Ladybugs
The Ladybugs cruised through September by finishing our "On the Farm" theme; we learned about animals that live on the farm and foods that come from plants and animals.
In October, we will begin to talk about the season changing into fall. We'll practice and learn early math skills by collecting, sorting, and graphing different types of leaves. We will also learn about the lifecycle of a pumpkin and get to take a field trip to a pumpkin patch where we will explore what we learned in the classroom with hands-on activities.
As we read “The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything,” by Linda Williams, we will work on story retelling as we talk about events, sing the story with a catchy tune, and engage in interactive activities.
We will finish up the month by starting to learn about and recognize different shapes and patterns. The Ladybugs are showing great confidence as they learn new skills!
